TimberTech decks from a Platinum Pro

TimberTech is our first choice for most decks. As a TimberTech Platinum Pro, we install it the way TimberTech intends and can offer manufacturer labor and material coverage on top of our own 7-year workmanship warranty.

Why we lead with TimberTech

We have built with almost every decking brand on the market. TimberTech is the one we recommend most often for Utah homes, for a few reasons:

  • Built for high-altitude sun. Capped boards resist fading and staining, which matters at Utah elevations.
  • Handles freeze-thaw. The boards don't soak up water, so they don't swell, split or rot through our winters.
  • Cooler options. TimberTech Advanced PVC lines stay noticeably cooler underfoot than traditional composite on a west-facing deck.
  • Colors that look like real wood. Multi-tonal colors such as English Walnut, French White Oak and Pecan read as natural wood from a few feet away.

What being a Platinum Pro means for you

TimberTech Platinum Pro is TimberTech’s highest contractor tier. To keep it, a builder has to install a lot of TimberTech and do it to TimberTech's standards. For you, it means:

  • A crew that knows TimberTech gapping, fastening and framing requirements, so your warranty holds.
  • Manufacturer-backed labor and material warranty coverage on qualifying projects, in addition to our 7-year workmanship warranty.
  • Access to the full TimberTech lineup, including decking, railing, HideAway privacy screens and lighting.

See all of our manufacturer credentials on the certified Pro Installer page.

Under the boards

Great decking deserves a frame that lasts as long. We often build TimberTech decks on Fortress steel framing or OC Lumber, and when a project uses wood we protect the joists with flashing tape. Read the built-to-last guide for the details.

Common questions

What does TimberTech Platinum Pro mean?

Platinum Pro is TimberTech’s top contractor level. It means TC Decks is trained and certified on TimberTech products, and it lets us offer TimberTech labor and material warranty coverage on top of our own 7-year workmanship warranty.

Which TimberTech line should I choose?

It depends on the look you want and your budget. Prime+, Premier and Terrain are solid entry lines; Harvest, Landmark and Reserve step up in color and grain; Legacy and Vintage are the premium collections with the richest look. We bring samples so you can see them in your own light.

Is TimberTech PVC better than composite?

TimberTech Advanced PVC (the AZEK-made lines) is fully synthetic, very light, stays cooler than traditional composite and holds up to moisture extremely well. Capped composite is a great value. Both are low maintenance; we will walk you through the trade-offs for your deck.

Do you build TimberTech decks in Salt Lake County too?

Yes. We build across Utah County and Salt Lake County, from Saratoga Springs, Lehi and Highland to Draper, Sandy and South Jordan.
